Once you're inside, you can stay as long as you like – only the entry slot itself is time-limited, so book that slot early.

No, the city itself has no beach. Carcavelos is reachable by suburban train from Cais do Sodré in 25 minutes. For Costa da Caparica, take the ferry from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas (10 minutes) plus a bus, 45 to 60 minutes total, or the direct bus 3710 from Areeiro (55 minutes). Note: Rossio station only serves Sintra; Cais do Sodré only serves Cascais and Estoril.
